Electricity 220 volts, 110 volts in the bathroom; wattage may not be compatible with your hair dryer. Please do NOT use personal equipment in your cabin. Video cameras, digital cameras and other appliances can be charged at the front desk.
Refrigerators are available in all cabins except Superior cabins on the Victoria Grace.
Safe Deposit Boxes All cabins have safes, or your valuables may be left in the safe deposit box at the reception desk on each vessel. We strongly recommend that you leave your valuables in your cabin safe or our safe deposit box. Victoria Cruise Lines s cannot be held liable for any valuables left in cabins or lost on board.
Water Drinkable water is offered through the room thermos and bottled water. Please do not drink the tap water. Water and ice served in the Yangtze Club and dining room are safe.
Money on Board
Chit Payment Method There is no cash flow aboard Victoria Cruise Lines. You may simply sign for any onboard purchases, and present your room key. It will be added to your final bill, which may be settled the final night or day on board. Payment may be made in any major currency, including Chinese Renminbi and all major credit cards. Money bills must be fairly new, as the Bank of China does not accept older bills. The ship cannot offer cash advances on credit or debit cards.
Credit Cards Incidentals and gift shop purchases may be paid at the front desk using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, UnionPay, WeChat Pay, AliPay and JCB.
Money Exchange Victoria Cruise Lines provides a money exchange service on board for various currencies to be exchanged into Renminbi (RMB), China’s local currency.
Service Charge In lieu of tipping, Victoria Cruise Lines charges a service charge of US$25.00 per person for cruises for 4 nights and under, and US$50 for per person for cruises of 6 nights and over, to be billed on passengers’ credit cards upon check-in. This service charge/tip includes our restaurant and housekeeping staff, but does not include a gratuity to our river guide or cruise director, or for any additional special services, which may be offered at your discretion. For porterage between the cabin and lobby, an optional gratuity of $1.00 per bag is recommended. Guest satisfaction is our highest priority. Any service issue should be communicated to our Cruise Director, so that we can address it in a timely manner. Should any service concerns not be met to your satisfaction, the service charge can be adjusted by our Cruise Director at time of disembarkation.
